Generative art since 1999
RVig has been a digital artist since 1999. Trained in computer science and engineering at INSA Lyon and McGill University in Montréal, he now lives and works in Geneva, combining his passion for images with his mastery of code.
He creates generative systems from algorithms, mathematical rules and distinctive data sources. His evolving collection of custom tools produces digital images, videos, Fine Art prints, sculptures and real-time artworks.
His work has been presented across Europe since 2003, including at the Conservatoire de musique de Genève, the Financial Times Weekend Festival in London, Lausanne Art Fair, Paris Metaverse Summit and Predict Conference in Dublin.
Since releasing Flowers on Art Blocks in 2021, RVig has continued to explore generative art on the blockchain. He won the 2024 ABS Digital Art Prize with Les Fleurs du Mal and created Field Impact with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) on Art Blocks Studio in 2025.
